Healing From Within Through Self-Awareness
Author: Donna Sherry Crabb
If you suffer from Bipolar disorder, you can try the following six steps to daily heal yourself from within. "Quotes Added".
1) Self-Discovery= I spent many years not knowing who or what I was. Any type of discovery takes knowledge and time.
Once you receive the knowledge you need about your discovery - "The self is only that which is in the process of becoming."
2)Self-Knowledge= Once you have discovered who you are, you use your attained knowledge to know what to do with, and/or how to treat the discovery you have made. "You have to know what's important and unimportant to you."
3) You have discovered your true self and you have the knowledge needed to know your likes, dislikes, and desires. What you have learned may not all be acceptable, and you will want to make adjustments. "There's only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that is your own self.
4) Self-Esteem= You have made your changes and you like what you have become. "Think highly of yourself for the world takes you at your own estimate."
5) Self-Worth= You must believe you are deserving of an abundant life. You can not create outside of your own belief. If you don't feel deserving, you cannot create your hearts desire.
6) Self-Love= Now you are ready to love what once was the unlovely you. Now you are truely a work of art and you are the artist. Love what you see and feel. "Resolve to be thyself and know, that he who finds himself, loses misery."
I spent years working on these 6 steps, and now for one more quote, "I've come to believe that all my past failures and frustrations were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy."
